Ron, Ruth, and Family

We had an enjoyable summer... Ashley and Sasha (me) went to a teen worship
intensive for one week, Amy went to a Young Adult Camp on Lake Roosevelt (eastern WA), several of us going to visit to friends and family in eastern WA (Including Stan and Sharon Addink), most of us went to a camp for families of a child who has/had cancer, we all went to family reunion on the Addink’s side, and attended several weddings of friends – busy summer!
We just completed our yearly family vacation for 2 weeks in Florida at
theme parks, the pool, and the beach – so great to be together with no
interruptions!  You would have thought that it would not be so crowded in
October, but the theme parks were very busy (hmmm – financial crisis?).
Now we have entered fall and are anticipating what Andre calls “National
Candy Day” on October 31, with everyone choosing a costume to attend a festival at the church we used to go to.
The children are all being homeschooled with the exception of Zack being in
speech class once a week.  Sasha is working with horses, Ashley is sewing and
cooking, Amy is taking piano lessons and working with the alpacas (she leased
one to breed,  hers couldn't be bred, so she sent hers back to Ohio to be “replaced” with a breedable female).   Andre is participating in boffering and in constant motion.  Let’s just say there is never a dull moment at our home.  Ron keeps very busy with the program he has been working with Korea at Boeing.  Ruth keeps busy organizing the family, home, social events, coffee with friends, and attending water aerobics.
We resumed foster care after a 2 month break.  We do short term receiving
care and usualy don't have little ones over 30 days – most of them go to relatives within a couple of weeks.  It can get pretty busy with little ones coming in the middle of the night and on weekends (we are only “after hours”).
We look forward to all our children being home for Thanksgiving!!
